Privacy policy
Effective October 13, 2026
This page explains what information we collect on reidscars.com, what we do with it, and how to reach us about it. It covers this website only.
What we collect
We collect what you type into our forms.
- The short form on the home page asks for your first name, your phone number, and where you are starting from (for example a bankruptcy or no credit yet).
- The credit application asks for your full name, date of birth, Social Security number, driver's license number and state, email, phone, and the best time to reach you. It asks for your current and previous address, how long you have lived there, and your housing payment. It asks for your current and previous employers, their phone numbers, your job title at each, how long you worked there, your income, and any other income. You can also tell us about a bankruptcy, child support, student loans or a tax lien. If you add a co-applicant, it asks the same about them and how you are related.
Like most websites, the company that hosts this site and the system that stores applications also keep standard server logs: your IP address, your browser type, and the time of your visit.
If you add a co-applicant, please make sure they know you are sharing their information with us.
How we use it
We use your information to review your application, confirm who you are, and contact you about it. When you check the box at the bottom of the application, you authorize us to send your application to the lenders we work with, and you authorize those lenders to obtain your credit report and verify what you told us. That is how your financing options are worked out.
Who handles it
- Our staff, to work on your application.
- Top Shelf Business Solutions, the company that runs this website and the customer system where applications are stored. They handle the information for us and only to provide that service.
- Lenders, credit reporting agencies and other companies, when that is needed to process your application or arrange your financing, or when the law requires it.
How it is protected
The forms are sent over an encrypted (https) connection. Your Social Security number is stored encrypted. Only staff who are signed in can open an application, and each time someone views a full Social Security number, it is logged.
No website can promise perfect security. If you would rather not send your details online, call us and we will take your application by phone.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. The fonts on the page are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google to fetch them.
Questions, corrections and removal
To ask what we have on file for you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it, call (972) 436-1600. Some records have to be kept for a period of time by law, and we will tell you if that applies.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
